Top NCAA College Football Betting Sites

(in alphabetical order)

BetMGM

BetMGM offers all the college football betting lines you would expect of a premier sportsbook. plus, the Vegas odds are very competitive – among the best we’ve seen during our research for college game futures.

The site already has futures available for the 2022 College Football National Championship. Plus, odds are up for No.1 overall picks at the 2022 Draft (Spencer Rattler +300 & Kayvon Thibodeaux +250) which is very early indeed; not many of the other sites visited have this option available just yet (in June).

NCAA football live betting will also be also available via the BetMGM site and app once the season gets back underway.

What we like:

  • A deep futures market for college football (division winners/ Heisman winners up in June)
  • One of the first sportsbooks to offer odds on the 2022 NFL Draft, featuring all the breakout college stars.
  • Bet MGM has a deep market of prop bets available for college football
  • The Vegas-based site and app broadcasts up to the minute college football betting lines
  • Very competitive onboarding bonus for new users
  • College ootball odds and lines are very competitive in terms of value

What we don´t like:

  • App and online sportsbook not as visually appealing as some of the lead competitors

BetRivers

Bet Rivers places a big emphasis on its college football markets. There are all the odds, lines, and spreads you would hope to see for all the major NCAA teams. Plus, the site offers competitive value on futures bets for things like the National Championship and the Heisman award winner.

The blog pages found on BetRivers are a valuable resource, containing tips on all the best NCAA college football betting lines. There are also tons of videos to enjoy – it’s an immersive way to learn college football betting strategies, for sure.

Bet Rivers is also one of the better sportsbooks when it comes to promotions and bonuses. Profit Boosts, odds boost, and enhanced parlay payouts are three of the more exciting features for bettors.

What we like:

  • BetRivers’ sportsbook features an Early Buy-Out option, enabling bettors to cash out their winnings early.
  • The college football odds and lines are very competitive; among the best at the market
  • BetRivers’ online blogs and video previews are a great way to pick up NCAA football betting advice.
  • Newcomers to BetRivers primed to receive up to $250 in free bets if they sign up and deposit $50.
  • Impressive onboarding bonuses for new users and numerous promo codes and bonuses for registered users, including the much-vaunted iRush Loyalty Rewards Program.

What we don´t like:

  • The sportsbook has limited availability due to licensing laws and can be difficult to access out of state.

DraftKings

DraftKings is one of America’s most popular college football betting sites. And for good reason: the sportsbook has odds, line, and spreads for every team imaginable in the NCAA, the futures market is deep, and the live in-play betting is incredibly detailed, or at least it will be once again when the season gets underway in September.

DraftKings is most famous for its Fantasy Football applications. Of course, there is the NFL fantasy version. But the sportsbook also features daily fantasy college football games to get your teeth into, which bettors can enter for free when they make their first deposit.

What we like:

  • Deep markets for game day and live, in-play college football betting
  • An accomplished and stylistically smooth college football betting site and app that’s easy to navigate and use
  • Round Robin (multiple parlay betting feature) for game outcomes. Plus a money-back feature on parlay betting
  • The most accessible college football site in America; available in the most states
  • College fantasy football is a great option for anyone who loves NCAA football – it’s a lot of fun
  • Up to $1,000 sign up bonus for newcomers
  • DraftKings is packed full of stats, info, analytics, reports, etc that can help you perfect your college football betting strategies

What we don´t like:

  • Better odds available on other college football betting apps and sites
  • Limited parlay betting options on college football futures (teams/players or combination of both)
  • Over/Under odds not available for college football (at time of writing, June) but quite possibly just late to market

FanDuel

Fan Duel’s site and app are chocked full of useful stats and analytics for college football. The sportsbook is stylistically superior to most on the market; easy to navigate, and it’s obvious that football (NFL and NCAA) is the main focus.

FanDuel is one of the best college football betting sites when it comes to reards, too: currently offering up to $1,000 in risk-free bets to new users.

Like DraftKings, FanDuel reignited its fantasy college football tournaments in 2020 and it’s just as much fun.

What we like:

  • Impressive looking, easily navigated NCAA football betting site and app
  • A vast market for college football futures, including Pac 12 and Big 12 outrights. Plus, over/ under betting options for most teams
  • College football gameday features plenty of live, in play betting options
  • $50 sportsbook (and $50 casino) referral bonus if a friend joins
  • FanDuel sportsbook features parlay betting insurance
  • Some of the best bonuses around: $500/$1,000 free bet to wager on college football for new signups
  • Live, in-play betting college football
  • Vey compeititve NCAA college football odds and lines

What we don´t like:

  • Late to market with college football betting odds, moneylines, and over/ under
  • Parlay moneyline bets and over/ under for college teams unavailable but may be added closer to the new season (September)

Golden Nugget

Golden Nugget might look and feel more like a casino than we would perhaps like. That said, in true Atlantic City fashion, the site does deal out a multitude of bonuses to both new and returning users: Golden Lines Parlay Boost, and Next Bet On Us (up to a $250 free bet), for example. So, it’s more than worthy of consideration.

Golden Nugget is early to market with NFL football betting odds, lines, and spreads. Not many sites were as prompt at getting all those markets up. However, where college football is concerned, the lack of haste and, thus, optionality during the offseason is unfortunate. It’s June and, at the time of writing, Golden Nugget only has one futures bet available for NCAA games (outrights on the National Championship).

Once the season is up and running, Golden Nugget’s college football betting lines tend to be very competitive; among the best available in the US. As such, the New Jersey-based sportsbook is generally a good option for gameday betting. But steer clear if you’re looking to go long during the offseason. There isn’t much happening.

What we like:

  • Possible to use parlay betting boost when betting on college football
  • Next Bet On Us bonus feature gifts users a free bet of up to $250
  • Golden Lines daily odds is a nice touch
  • Competitive college football betting odds and lines

What we don´t like:

  • For a college football betting site, Golden Nugget’s presentation leaves a lot to be desired. It looks like more of a casino that happens to do NCAA football betting.
  • No live-streaming
  • Late to broadcast college football betting odds. The site has almost no college football markets in mind-June (the season starts in September)

FOXBET

FOXBET provides a superb-looking site and app for users to enjoy. Bettors are able to watch live streams of college football games whilst they place bets, which is a great feature that not many competitors can offer.

New users to the platform are most often greeted with a multitude of sign-up bonuses and special offers, particularly once preseason is underway and the hype for college football begins to grow around the country.

FOXBET also a deep market for college football futures, gameday, and in-play wagering – one of the most comprehensive lists of betting options around.

The betting lines during the NCAA playoffs and, of course, the college national championship game is also deep, providing tons of optionality for bettors at the most exciting phase of the season.

What we like:

  • America’s best-loved sports broadcaster – highly trusted
  • Superb NCAA college football coverage on FOXBET/FOX SPORTS apps/ live-streams and website. Plenty of games, shows, and literature to consume
  • NCAA football betting features plenty of optionalities come gameday:  live, in-play betting, deep prop markets. Plus Build a Prop option.
  • Among the best sportsbooks when it comes to sign-up bonuses, promos, and odds boosters. The site often offers a player deposit bonus of $500, or up to $1,000

What we don´t like:

  • Despite the undoubted market/prop optionality, FOXBET doesn’t generally offer the best college football betting odds and lines

PointsBet

PointsBet is a great NCAA football betting site to visit if you’re wanting to place parlay bets on points spread way in advance of the season. Though the season gets underway in September, we were able to build a 3-way parlay in June (see above). Not many of the college football betting sites reviewed here offer bettors a chance to parlay this early on. Combined with the partial cash-out option, PointsBet looks a great choice for gameday bets.

PointsBet is now the official betting partner of NBC, which is a channel famed for college football. So, bettors can expect to see PointsBet’s odds on-screen when tuning in to watch their favorite teams on NBC. This is likely to be convenient for bettors who often need quick access to college football betting lines.

Pointsbet also offers plenty of optionality on college football team futures – all the big ten divisions are available for outright bets, as is the Heisman award winner.

What we like:

  • Simple to build parlay bets on the point spread for all college football Week-1 fixtures (see above image)
  • A deep market for team futures: ten divisions including the Sun Belt and Mountain West and, once the season gets back underway, prop bets
  • Pointsbet offers a partial cash-out option
  • The site tends to have some of the best early spreads available on the market
  • Partnership with NBC gives NCAA football betting fans quick access to odds whilst tuning in to watch their favorite games.

What we don´t like:

  • The site only offers the spread market for college football during the offseason. Other sites currently have more optionality.
  • Despite the partnership with NBC, PointsBet is yet to announce college football streaming services for 2021-22.

Twinspires

Twinspires is early to broadcast its NCAA college football betting lines (moneyline and points spread) and the site tends to offer good odds when compared to its nearest competitors. It’s also simple to build parlay bets on college teams when using Twinspires (see image above).

Stats for all teams/ players are easily accessible at the click of a button from the betting pages at the click of a button. And the site has plenty of college football betting tips and even a college football betting podcast, hosted by Scott Shapiro via the Twinspires EDGE feature.

Twinspires is better known for horse racing than gridiron. But we were impressed with the betting lines for college football on offer. The futures market for teams was deep, too.

What we like:

  • Deep market for college football betting futures
  • Twinspires offers tempting bonuses and rewards for newcomers, including up to $1,000 free bet
  • Twinspires EDGE is a valuable resource for college football betting advice
  • Full spread and moneyline markets available early
  • Parlay betting is simple to use and the odds are great (see above)
  • Stats for all teams/ players easily accessible via sportsbook

What we don´t like:

  • No live-streaming of NFL matches
  • No futures for Heisman award winner (June)

William Hill

William Hill is ESPN’s official betting partner and, as such, is one of America’s favored NCAA college football betting websites. The odds and lines you see flick up on screen during the plethora of live NCAA games broadcast on ESPN each season will be William Hill’s. As a result, this sportsbook is one. of the very best for live, in-play betting. Not to mention the prop market, which is incredibly deep for both team and player prop bets.

William Hill published its college football betting lines and odds in June. Said odds are among the best on offer in the USA at this present time. For example, William Hill has Clemson at -800 to win the AAC. While most other sportsbooks have the Tigers listed at -835.

What we like:

  • Sportsbook offers a deep NCAA college football betting market and plenty of prop betting options
  • Easy to build parlay bets
  • William Hill offers $500 in free bets to newcomers to the platform. Last March, the sportsbook even offered a $2,021 deposit bonus – keep an eye out for offers.
  • William Hill’s partnership with ESPN means the sportsbooks college football betting lines and odds are displayed prominently live, in-game – a great feature for live betting
  • Expected to broadcast some NCAA college football games via In-Play live-stream thanks to the new partnership with ESPN
  • Early to market with college football championship odds

What we don´t like:

  • Poorly reviewed app that has been known to crash on occasion

Best NCAA College Football Betting Tips

The most popular methods to place bets on NCAA football are, as with the NFL, the game lines. The game line markets are as follows: moneyline, point spread, and total points.

As a word of caution, it’s usually a better idea to place game line bets closer to the event. It would be unfortunate to place a bet on Spencer Rattler’s Oklahoma to win a game in Week-6 after watching the Sooners crush the opposition in Week-2, only to find Rattler himself is injured for the game.

That said, there are occasions when optimistic betting on college football game lines can be profitable: oddsmakers do tend to reach a little during the build-up to Week-1, especially in college football where there are so many unknown quantities.

If you are confident in your research/ understanding of the teams/ players you intended to wager on, go for it. But it is usually better to wait until a day or two before the game in order to avoid dependant variables.

Moneyline

The simplest of all wagers is the moneyline bet. This is when a bettor attempts to predict which team will win based on the odds (and, hopefully, some research!).

The best college football teams will have the worst odds. The same is true in reverse for the underdogs, who are given much better odds.

In the above image, you can see Twinspires’ moneyline odds for Nebraska vs. Illinois and North Carolina vs. Virginia. For ease let’s focus on the latter.

At -230, North Carolina are the clear favorites to win the game even on the road. If a bettor were to place $230 on a North Carolina win, the profit on the bet would be $100. The underdogs, Virginia Tech are listed at +180. If a bettor were to wager $100 on the Hokies to win, the payout would be $180, and so on.

It’s worth noting the payout in the image above is a bit higher than those just mentioned as we performed a parlay bet, which is when you bet on multiple results and the odds get better as you do so.

Points spread

The spread is a simple concept: oddsmakers decide which team is favorite/ underdog for a particular college game and then work out the spread based on how well each team is expected to fair vs. its opponent.

The team thought to be the favorite is challenged to beat its opponent by a particular amount of points, based on the gulf in class. In the above image, for example, you can see that last year’s National Champions Alabama Crimson Tide are big favorites vs. Miami. As such, oddsmakers have challenged them to beat Florida by more than 17.5 points. If Alabama fails to win by more than 17.5 points, when the bettor predicted otherwise, said bettor would lose.

The same is true but vice-versa for Florida: if the team can lose but stay within 17.5 points of Alabama (or just win), and the bettor predicts this correctly, said bettor would win money.

This option exists to provide optionality for perceived mismatches. You will generally get better odds on a spread than you will on the moneyline when betting on college football.

Total Points

Betting on college football’s total points market is another college football betting line that’s simple enough to grasp.

Here, the bettor just has to predict whether or not the final combined score (both teams) of a particular game will be over or under the score projected by the site’s oddsmakers.

If you look at the middle column of the image above, you will see the odds for total points at the half (over/under odds) between Ohio State and Michigan State, as provided by the excellent DraftKings last season.

Ohio was the favorite for this match. As such, the team’s challenge, as set by the bookmakers, is to get the two teams’ combined score at the half over 30.5 points – say, Ohio 21 – Michigan 12. If this happens and the bettor predicted it correctly, said bettor would win.

The same is true in reverse for Michigan. The team was tasked with keeping the combined score below 30.5 points. So, if the score at the half-time interval was, say, Ohio 14 – 9 Michigan, the bettor would win, assuming he/she had placed a wager on this outcome.

Other Options for Betting on NCAA College Football

Game Line Bets might be the most popular wagers on all the best college football betting sites. But there are numerous other ways to win money with NCAA football betting.

We’ve taken the liberty of listing out a few of the most popular below for your convenience.

Betting on NCAA College Football Futures

Another straightforward NCAA football betting market is the futures bet, given its name because that’s exactly what the bettor is doing – betting on an outcome way in the future.

There are a plethora of markets available for these kinds of bets, ranging from Conference winner to National Championship winner to Heisman award winner, and many more. At the time of writing, it’s June; still, three months to go until the college football season kicks back into gear. But markets will open for such things as QB with the most touchdown passes, RB with most rushing yards, et al across the best college football betting sites in due course.

In the Draftkings example above, you can see a futures bet for the 2021-22 Heisman Award winner. Oddsmakers have listed Clemson quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei +600. So a $100 punt would land you a $700 return, which is decent odds on a Tigers QB.

Some of the other types of futures bets you can expect to see across the best NCAA football betting sites are listed below

  • Winner of the national championship
  • Conference winner (Big Ten, SEC, ACC, Big 12, Pac-12, AAC, MAC, C-USA, Mountain West, and Sun Belt are the most common conferences available)
  • Division winner
  • Heisman Award winner
  • Betting on whether or not a team makes it to the playoffs
  • Coach of the Year
  • Betting on which quarterback will throw the most passing yards or touchdowns in a season
  • Wagering on which player will register the most TDs in the season
  • RB with most rushing yards in the season
  • WR or TE with most receiving yards in the season
  • Over / Under futures on team wins and losses (+/- 7, for example)

The above is just a list of the most common examples, there will be many more than that come September 2021. Just keep an eye out.

In-Play NCAA College Football Prop Bets

Prop betting is another term that you’ll see banded across America’s best college football betting apps and sites. Such bets tend not to determine the outright winner of a sporting contest. But, instead, focus on a range of things that may or may not happen during the game.

That said, prop bets are commonly used in conjunction with game line bets to get better odds. For example, last season you may have wanted to bet on Alabama Crimson Tide to win (game line), plus Mac Jones to throw +3 TD passes (prop), and Devonta Smith to amass +100-yards receiving (prop). Parlaying in this manner allows for bigger profits but is, of course, a lot riskier.

Bettors can make NCAA college football prop bets when betting on a game the day before the action gets underway (or before that) or on game-day itself, wagering during the contest, in a process known as live, or in-play betting.

When scanning betting lines for college football, you will see tons of optionality regarding prop bets. It’s possible to bet on both the team as a whole or on an individual player. We’ve listed some of the most common below. But do check your preferred college football betting app closer to the time you wish to lay down some funds to see exactly what prop markets are available.

Examples of Options Available for Player Prop Bets

  • The first player to register a touchdown in the game
  • Number of TD passes thrown by QB
  • RB rushing yards (usually +/- 100-yards)
  • WR receiving yards (usually +/- 100-yards)
  • Next player to hit a sack
  • Next player to force a fumble
  • Interceptor of pass… and so on

Examples of Options Available for Team Prop Bets

  • Which team scores first?
  • Which team scores last?
  • Will the first team to score win the game?
  • Will a team score a safety?
  • Which team will convert the longest field goal?
  • Over/under wagers on total field goals made
  • Spread bets on first downs made
  • Will the team score on the drive?
  • Fourth-down conversions
  • Will there be a kickoff returned for a touchdown?
  • Will the first turnover be a fumble or an interception?

Best Promos And Rewards Available at online NCAA football Betting Sites

Each of the college football betting apps covered on this page offers bonuses and deals to newcomers and veteran patrons alike. And that’s all year round.

We are in the midst of the offseason at present, though. So, of course, a lot of the best promos and special offers are saved for the season itself and the always-excellent postseason games.

We’re betting college football season brings the usual multitude of bonuses with it – that’s for sure.

That said, there are plenty of great offers available at the best college football betting sites even during the offseason. DraftKings, for example, offers $100 in free bets each time you refer a new friend, which could be quite lucrative in the right hands…

To save you scrolling, we’ve listed a bunch more below for your convenience:

PointsBet Promo

Newcomers to New Jersey-based sportsbook PointsBet are eligible for two risk-free bets worth up to $2,000 to go along with their first deposits.

BetMGM

BetMGM is offering newcomers a risk-free first bet of up to $600, depending on how much capital a bettor deposits when he/she opens an account.

The best of the rest are featured below. Just to reiterate, though -at the time of writing it is only June. There will be plenty more offers available, and tons of promos directly linked to NCAA college football betting lines, nearer and during the season. So, we strongly encourage all bettors to double-check what’s on offer at the precise time they are planning to open an account. You won’t regret it!

NCAA College Football Betting Strategies

Online college football betting can be a tough nut to crack, especially if it’s something a bettor plans to do professionally. There are, however, a multitude of resources available to keen students of gambling at the best college football betting websites.

Many of the sportsbooks listed here today — FOXBet, DraftKings (see image above), and BetRivers all spring to mind — offer college football betting guides and even free college football betting picks to those willing to put in the time.

It’s not like you, the prospective bettor, can simply rely on these pro tips to make money but they do offer plenty of useful insight and, after time, you’ll begin to pick up the pro college football betting systems and methodology.

Eventually, you, yourself, will have to put in the hard yards and develop your own betting strategy. Likely, it will revolve around the particular players, teams, and conferences that you know best. However, below are our top five tips for making real money wagering on Notre Dame, or this year’s Justin Fields, or whatever floats your boat.

  • Bet for Value – The great state of Alabama has had the best NCAA team of the last decade. Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide has won the national championship in five of the last ten years – they are college football’s New England Patriots in that sense, so Mac Jones should feel right at home this year! A new bettor may be reading this and thinking, ‘great, I’ll just bet on Alabama Crimson Tide to win each week and laugh my way to the bank.’ But, of course, it doesn’t work like that. Remember that the better a team is, the worse the odds are. Case in point, against Florida on the first day of the 2021 NCAA football season, Alabama is -1,000 on the money line. That means that a bettor has to bet $1,000 to win $100. It might pay off one, two, maybe even eight times ($800). But eventually betting on the favorite will blow up in your face and you’ll lose $1,000. Instead, look for value when you place your bets: a plucky underdog, or try to parlay your college football betting picks with the first TD scorer, or with another game that has better odds. You will win less often. But when you do win, you will win more. Again, our simple college football betting advice to you – bet for value!
  • Manage Your Money Effectively – the majority of people who day-trade for a living will tell you never to invest more than 1-10% of your available finances on any one trade (or bet, in this case), and never-ever wager more than you can afford. The longer a bettor is in the game, the more chance the bettor has of turning a profit. You’ve got to be in it to win it (as they say). Plus, it’s difficult to take advantage of all the bonuses and promos on offer during the postseason when you’ve blown your account on a $1,000 bet on Alabama to beat Auburn in November.
  • Do Your Research – Doing the research will pay dividends. One of the best things about betting on NCAA college football is that the often fine margins between teams create high-value odds and lines. Savvy bettors of course aim to exploit those odds, as they should. But betting on NCAA college football for a living is about much more than just good odds. Bettors should aim to make predictions based on theory. And a theory that’s not based on some knowledge is unlikely to work out well. Read up on past results between teams, check the injury status of players, have a look at the home/away win/loss ratio, find out who is in form and who isn’t, what’s on the line? Which team needs this game more? Pay a visit to an NCAA football betting forum, pay attention to the latest NCAA football betting trends etc. Once you’ve done the groundwork and cast your bet (hopefully a value bet), you’ll feel much more confident than if you just bet on any old team on a whim – trust us.
  • Shop around for the Best Lines and Open up Multiple Accounts – Some college football betting sportsbooks do serve up better odds than others. It’s true. From the research, we’ve done on NCAA college betting apps and sites, BetMGM, William Hill, PointsBet, and FanDuel, and are usually among the best for college football odds. But any of the online college football betting apps could broadcast the best odds on any given Saturday, so be sure to check around before you cast your bet. Try to pay a visit to a college football betting forum, too. A simple pro tip to help you along in time for the autumn kickoff is to open up multiple sportsbook accounts. That way you are primed to strike when the best odds come your way. Plus it gives bettors a chance to take advantage of multiple bonuses and promo codes across all sportsbooks – there are people out there who actually do this (open up multiple accounts with small deposits to exploit bonuses and promos) for a living; it’s a worthwhile practice.
  • Avoid Making Sentimental Bets on Your Own Team – This tip is the most obvious but also one of the hardest to follow through on. We are all guilty of over-sentimentality where our own team is concerned. A lifelong fan of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish might well feel this is her year. With Kyren Williams pounding it upfield and Jarrett Patterson blocking, who could blame her? But, don’t get caught out making sentimental bets. The likelihood is that it’s probably not your team’s year. Indeed, there is no guarantee it’s even your team’s game. In short, bet with the mind; not the heart.

Following through on those five tips mentioned on any of the best college football betting apps mentioned up the page should give you a firm basis upon which to develop your betting prowess. But, as mentioned, many of the sportsbooks listed in our top 10 post free blogs that cover college football betting systems and hone in on all the latest college football betting trends to boot.

Do yourself a favor and familiarize yourself with a couple of those blogs, vlogs, etc. And remember that paying a quick visit to an NCAA football betting forum can also pay dividends.

Key Dates For NCAA College Football Betting

The 2021-22 college football schedule came out in March and, after the Big 10 made a few revisions, now appears set in stone for the autumn kick-off.

If you want to know how to bet on college football, it’s important to understand not just the exact layout of the college football calendar, but also the key release dates for NCAA betting lines and how that all works in conjunction with the key dates on the gridiron schedule.

We’ve covered all bases for you in this next section.

NCAA Football Betting Events: College Regular Season Odds Release Dates

The college football regular season tends to run from late-August/ early September through to about late-November (specific dates for 2021-22 season listed further down the page).

The college football Vegas odds are generally released and broadcast across the majority of major sportsbooks and their respective college football betting apps a week prior to the game. Futures are obviously released a lot earlier – football Vegas odds are more along the lines of team/ player prop bets and moneylines – just to be clear.

Steam chasers

It’s always wise to pay attention to the odds release dates. Sportsbooks scramble to get the odds up early and, on occasion, the bookmakers at even the best NCAA college football betting apps under/overvalue a team/player on the spread or with a prop bet.

In fact, there is a certain type of savvy better known as a steam chaser who will seek to identify these exact errors and exploit them for maximum profit. In what’s known in the industry as a steam move, a sportsbook might notice heavy betting activity on a particular line or spread which it has over/undervalued. Pro bettors will wager big on this particular line, causing the sportsbook to alter its odds, as it slowly realizes that maybe it got it wrong.

Of course, said sportsbook can’t void the bets. So it pays to get in there early, the very moment the NCAA Vegas odds are released, especially if betting on college football for a living is something that interests you.

Conference Championship Odds Release Dates

The Conference Championship games usually take place in December. We’ve listed all the exact dates for 2021-22 further down the page for your ease of reference.

Outrights on Conference winners are generally available as futures as early as April. But, as with the regular season, the majority of college football Vegas odds for spreads/ props, etc. on all the big games come out about a week before the big game.

Again, we implore you to check the Vegas odds and lines out early and to strike while the gridiron is hot.

William Hill & NCAA College Football Betting Odds

One pro tip for steam chasing using the earliest NCAA Vegas odds is to frequent William Hill, as so many other American bettors do. In fact, one in three bets made in the US is made through the sportsbook, making it America’s most popular sportsbook in terms of volume betting.

Besides its enduring popularity and the prestige that comes with that, another plus to William Hill having long been the most famed in-house sportsbook in Las Vegas is that the site tends to broadcast NCAA college football Vegas Odds first. In that sense, it’s a steam chaser’s dream.

Other Sportsbook’s Odds Release Dates

College football betting apps such as DraftKings and BetRivers (and many others) run using the Kambi engine. Kambi provides prompt odds to these sportsbooks. Just perhaps, on average, not as quickly as the Vegas odds and lines are released to William Hill, et al.

It’s also worth mentioning that a lot of the smaller sportsbooks then follow the college football betting odds broadcast by the likes of DraftKings.

Generally speaking though, and with reference solely to college football betting apps and sites, if your sportsbook of choice has its futures up before June and its game markets up a week before the game itself, that’s fine.

When are the odds for the College Football Bowl Season & National Championship Game released?

Big sportsbooks such as DraftKings and William Hill release their college football Bowls odds up for the outright winners in May, which is a near seven months before Bowl season gets underway.

Again, the exact college football playoff odds, spreads, and prop betting markets for these contests will be broadcast about a week or so before the games take place.

NCAA Regular Season Schedule

The 14 week-long NCAA regular season gets back underway – proper – on Wednesday, September 1. The bulk of Week-1 games take place on Saturday, September 4, however.

That said, on August 28, there will be a handful of Week-0 clashes, when the UCLA Bruins are in action, for example.

From Week-0 until the final week of the regular season (November 27), there are NCAA football games on almost every night of the week – plenty of time to place wagers on the NCAA college football betting lines. And, hopefully, earn a few bucks for your efforts.

To list every single game would be beyond the scope of this article. Just check your local listings come autumn.

NCAA Football Playoff Schedule (Bowl Season)

The college football regular season always throws up great games and provides tons of betting opportunities. But nothing compares to Bowl Season!

This is where the bulk of the money is spent betting on NCAA college football, since college football bowl odds and lines are hard to split, even by seasoned oddsmakers. The high level of competition in this phase of the college football season, in turn, provides an opportunity for savvy sports aficionados to strut their stuff and make some money.

Moneyline Betting Odds Comparison for College Football Week-1 Fixture: Alabama vs. Miami Florida State & LSU vs. UCLA

It’s always wise to shop around for the very best NCAA football betting lines. Some sites do tend to offer better college football odds than others. But there’s no guarantee of this every week and you won’t know what’s out there if you don’t check.

Below, we’ve included a comparison for NCAA futures bets for the favorites to win the following conferences: ACC (Clemson), PAC-12 (Oregon), SEC (Alabama), Big-12 (Oklahoma).

Again though, we can’t stress this enough, always shop around before you place your bet. And don’t be afraid to open up multiple sportsbooks in order to simplify the process in the long run.

As you can hopefully see in the table above, it’s always wise to shop around before putting down your wager.

In terms of futures for outright conference champions, William Hill might be more globally recognized for soccer betting, but the famed sportsbook currently has the best college football betting odds. William Hill is ahead of the pack in the ACC, SEC, and Big 12.

Put simply, for those specific futures, you will win more money on William Hill than you will elsewhere. But, again, this doesn’t mean William Hill is ALWAYS the best – as you can see, Pointsbet offers great odds for Oregon in the PAC-12, and it’s not like the likes of DraftKings is far behind either.

Always check the odds before you bet. The aim of the game is to make as much money as you can.

Best NCAA College Football Betting Sites USA – Conclusion

After hours spent researching the best sites & apps for NCAA college football betting lines, one thing we’re happy to stake our reputation on is that each of the ten sites featured up page is completely safe and legally allowed to operate in licensed states.

Ultimately, it just comes down to what want out of an NCAA football betting site and which of the sportsbooks covered are legally allowed to do business in your state – always check that before you do anything.

William Hill, and Fan Duel seem to be marginally ahead of the chasing pack when it comes to NCAA football betting odds. But odds aren’t everything.

For fantasy football and sheer presentation/ ease of use, DraftKings and FanDuel come atop the pile by some stretch.

FOXBet will always be a worthy adversary because of the optionality and live-streaming options. Pointsbet is famed for its prop markets once the season gets underway… it really is up to you, the bettor, to decide which sportsbook and app best suits your style of play and gambling focus.

We personally enjoyed wagering on the excellent BetMGM: the college football betting site offers tons of optionality and was quick to market with well-priced futures for next season.
