Where BritainBet differs from most of the betting sites you may be familiar with is that they are run by ProgressPlay, a “white label” platform that provides all the main technical elements of a sportsbook but allows a company to add their branding and market it as their own.
A quick look at the ProgressPlay roster shows that the vast majority of sites under their umbrella are casino offerings, so it remains to be seen in this BritainBet review whether they can transfer that expertise to a sportsbook.
Unsurprisingly, BritainBet does have a casino element but for the purpose of this review we will be concentrating solely on sports betting. When it comes to existing customer deals we could only find one on the BritainBet sportsbook, but it certainly is an intriguing one. It’s essentially a rewards store where you earn points for completing tasks which can then be redeemed for free bets, free spins and other goodies. Those points will also cause you to “Level Up” every so often which will bring extra rewards.
We’ve broken the offer down below and our thoughts are that it’s a novel idea that adds an extra element to your betting experience with bonuses that are certainly achievable to your average bettor. Which Sports Can I Bet On With BritainBet?
The biggest compliment we can give to the range of sports at BritainBet is that even experienced bettors such as ourselves found some games that we had never seen before such as Bandy (similar to ice hockey but with a ball instead of a puck) and Floorball (pretty much like Bandy but indoors).
At the time of writing, we found a whopping 36 different sports, as well as an impressive range of E-Sports including League of Legends, Counter-Strike, Rainbow Six, Warcraft 3, Brawl Stars, Valorant and DOTA 2. There’s also a good number of worldwide political markets and of course the old favourites Strictly and Dancing On Ice!
However, we wouldn’t say that finding your chosen sport was easy as the main sports betting landing page consists of a giant bonus advertisement and little else, and you need to scroll down to find the betting markets. And we reckon that most people will waste their time clicking “Sports” at the top, which actually does nothing as you are already on that page!
On the sports markets section of the home page, you will be able to find the event you wish to wager on by clicking on the list icon on the left-hand side and then clicking through to the match you are interested in. Or if you know the specific team or individual you wish to bet on you can just type that into the search box, which is always a useful addition!
You can also change the way the site is laid out by clicking above the bet slip, which is a nice touch. You can select between classic, modern, or a combination of the two, as you can see below. For this review we’ll be using the classic layout but we would encourage you to try all three and see which works best for you.
This is a great feature but our only slight criticism is that it is very easy to miss this option as it is hidden away above the bet slip rather than featuring prominently on the home page.
When it comes to the range of football markets we reckon punters will find everything they need at BritainBet, with over 100 outcomes to pick from in the big league and cup matches at home and abroad and a competitive range of markets on the UK lower leagues.
We’re not just concentrating on football though, so we had a look at some other popular sports such as golf, boxing, cricket and American football. And while we were generally impressed with the range of markets, we would sound a note of caution for golf fans as the range of betting options was poor in comparison to most of the other sportsbooks we have encountered.
BritainBet Odds and Value
As is the case with many of the new sportsbooks, after comparing odds with their major rivals on a number of different sports we found BritainBet to be middle of the road in that they were rarely industry-leading but never at the bottom of the class either. However, a lack of odds boosts is a shame, as is the absence of “best odds guaranteed” offers, which are a staple of most other sportsbooks.
Odds at BritainBet can be viewed in fractional, decimal and American formats, along with the less well-known pricing styles of Hong Kong, Malay and Indo.
Bet Limits
The minimum wager at BritainBet is £0.20, while the maximum amount varies depending on the price. After looking at a range of 10 sports we discovered that the maximum win from any bet varied from wager to wager but was generally between the £2,000 & £7,000 mark, which is plenty for most but may put off some of the high rollers or those looking for that life-changing acca win!
In Play Betting
When it comes to in play betting it’s clear that BritainBet has prioritised their live offering as we found an impressive amount of sports to bet on at all times of the day and night, with over 100 markets on average across at least 10 sports. There are also a number of extra features that we haven’t seen on many other sportsbooks, including the option to create your own live “Multi View” in the centre of the screen with up to four live events.
And there’s even a handy calendar to see exactly what is coming up in the hours and days ahead.
Live Streaming
At the time of writing this BritainBet review, live streaming is not an option, but we found that every sport that you can bet on in play had a graphic showing the latest score, and when it came to football there was a live animation showing events as they happened, along with key stats such as shots on target, bookings and corner kicks.
BritainBet Cash out & Other Features
Cash out is available on many of the markets at BritainBet, which is a popular feature for punters who may want to settle their wagers before an event has finished. You just need to click on “My Bets” on the right-hand side of the home page and then if your bet is eligible you will see a green dollar sign next to it which is clickable.
You can also set your bet to auto cashout if it reaches a certain amount in play, which is a nice addition that we haven’t seen at many other sportsbooks.
Customer service
In our humble opinion, a betting site that offers 24/7 wagering should also provide customer service at any time, and we are pleased to report that as well as being contactable via email, the BritainBet support team are available via live chat seven days a week at all hours of the day.
Clicking on the speech bubble icon at the top of the screen will bring up the BritainBet Support Centre, where you may well be able to find the answer to your question, but if not you can click on the “Chat With Us” button at the bottom of the page. A chatbot will be the first “voice” you encounter but you can soon send your virtual friend packing and speak to a real person within a minute if you so desire.

Step 3: Deposit Funds

Step 4: Place Bets
It may seem at first glance like the layout of BritainBet is quite cluttered, but we actually found placing a wager to be really easy. Once you click on a particular sport on the far left hand side the specific matches will appear right next to it and then once you click on an event all the markets will be to the right of that.
Then you just need to click on the price of the outcome you wish to wager on and it will appear on the bet slip on the far right of the screen. You can then add your stake and click “Place Bets”.
However, it’s when you want to place a multiple bet within a specific sport that the BritainBet site really comes into its own because there’s no need to go back and forth between pages to find different matches. Everything just stays on screen and you can click between different matches and markets with ease.
Step 5: Withdraw Winnings
If you want to withdraw your winnings just click on “Cashier” at the top of the home page, click on “Withdrawal” and then pick which payment method you wish to credit your withdrawal to, add the amount and click “Withdrawal”. The minimum amount is £10 and you can withdraw to Visa debit cards, bank transfer, Paypal, Neteller or Skrill.
Withdrawals are subject to a £2.50 processing fee which is a massive negative in our book, not only because very few betting sites charge their customers to withdraw their winnings, but due to the fact that the amount is set and not a percentage. So if you withdrew £10 you would lose 25% of it! We also worry that bettors will be discouraged from withdrawing small amounts and will end up placing more bets when they didn’t necessairly want to.
Another negative is that every withdrawal begins life as “pending” for three days, then it’s another day to process and anything from 1-7 days to hit your account, meaning you could feasibly be waiting 11 days to see your winnings, which is far too long in our book.
BritainBet App
There is no BritainBet app and when we asked customer support whether there were any plans to create one, they were unable to tell us. And looking at their sportsbook on your mobile device is a bit of a mixed bag because while navigation is relatively easy, the ever-present ticker showing advertisements that you constantly have to scroll beyond becomes a bit tiresome!
