As this BK8 review has already informed you, BK8 have been around since 2015, concentrating mainly on Asian markets and in particular Malaysia, Thailand and Cambodia. BK8 have finally opened themselves up to the UK market, partnering with Malta-based ProgressPlay.
Because of their partnership with ProgressPlay, BK8 are automatically covered by ProgressPlay’s UKGC licence which was granted in 2013. Is BK8 Safe?
You should have no issues playing at BK8, as they are fully and properly licensed in the UKGC. BK8 Review: Top features, Markets & Odds
People who are BK8 clients will find the site uses the standard Progress Play sportsbetting platform, which you should recognise instantly if you have played at a Progress Play enabled site before. It’s not the prettiest sports betting site around, but it’s very easy to use. Our BK8 review found that the sports betting section is split into two parts – pre-match and live with live being the default. There are usually around 200 live events available at any one time, with more available in the evening during the week or in the afternoon at weekends. The pre-match section will have upwards of 3,000 events that you can place your bets on.
Football dominates, as you will naturally expect. All the top European leagues are covered, as are most global leagues and international competitions. Other popular markets include tennis, basketball, cricket, volleyball, table tennis and both rugby codes.
Esports coverage is very good here, with CSGO, Dota 2, LoL, Starcraft 2 and Valorant events all avilable.
BK8 Odds
There is no ‘best odds guaranteed’ at BK8, unlike at other leading UK sportsbooks. The odds used at BK8 are dictated by Progress Play, so you will find the same odds at all Progress Play sites.
Our BK8 review writer checked the odds of some big events at BK8 and found the odds offered to be equivalent to the leading odds offered by ‘best odds guaranteed’ sites anyhow.
By default, the odds at BK8 are displayed in decimal format, but they can be switched to fractional if that is your preference.
BK8 Limits
The deposit limit at BK8 is £10, so any deposit you make will need to be at least a tenner. Note that for some deposit methods that minimum deposit could be higher. The minimum accepted withdrawal is only £2.50, which is extremely generous.
The minimum accepted bet is £0.20, and the maximum is £5,000 (may vary by sport). If you want to bet more than £5,000 you can slide the ‘SupaBet’ slider. When you place your bet it will be held ‘pending’ until it is approved by BK8 or not.
In-Play Betting
The in-play markets available at BK8 will appeal to you if you like live betting. These markets are kept up to date with the very latest information. You can see how nearly all live events are progressing, and make your wagering decisions.
Each live event will have a number of wagering options, and not just win/lose/draw. If you click on a event you’ll be able to see all the markets that are currently available to you. Just place your bets as you would with a pre-event bet, and keep your fingers crossed!
Live Streaming
Many sites now offer sports live streaming but we are afraid to reveal that our BK8 review found that this site is not one of them. This goes for all Progress Play sites, as no live streams are available anywhere. Maybe live streaming is something that Progress Play will add to their sports betting software in the future?
Other Features
We’ve already outlined the leaderboards that are in place for a few sports. If you opt-in to a tournament then all bets you make on that particular sport will be counted towards your leaderboard progress for the qualifying time period. If you finish in the higher places then your reward will be a free bet – up to £50!
Note that leaderboard free bets come with the same terms and conditions as the site’s welcome offer. The site also has a rewards scheme where you can undertake missions and earn badges while you are betting. Each qualifying bet you place earns points, and you can redeem your points in the Reward Store for free bets, deposit bonuses, cashback deals and more.
Customer Service
Your first port of call if you come a little unstuck at BK8 should be the site’s FAQs. They are reasonably extensive and any common query you have should be answered.
If you need a little more help, then it’s live chat. When we used the live chat we were told that we were number six in the queue and our estimated waiting time was 27 minutes! Not good at all! As it turned out, we only had to reach number 3 in the queue for our query to be answered, which took around four minutes … but after submitting our question, the customer agent simply terminated the conversation! Our second try took a lot longer (20 minutes) but at least our query was answered successfully, after a little confusion (not on our part).
An alternative to live chat if you don’t want to hang around is email. Click on the ‘send us an email’ button to open up the email applet, type in your email address and your message and send your message off. Note that queries are answered by a third-party provider, and not BK8 or Progress Play themselves.
BK8 review – How to Get Started And Claim Your BK8 Free Bet

- Support – Okay, so the site has live chat but our experiences were underwhelming, to say the least. Our first effort was curtailed without a reason or response, and our second just took far too long. BK8 needs to learn from other sites, many of whom do support much, much better.
Final thoughts on BK8
BK8 have been around since 2015 so it’s something of a surprise that it has taken them so long to enter the UK market. It’s also something of a surprise too for this BK8 review writer that they’ve entered the UK market using Progress Play’s software and licence. As the BK8 website in Asia and other jurisdictions has been up and running for almost eight years, we would have though porting it to the UK market would have been easier than using a third party white label provider.
Having said that, there’s nothing really wrong with a Progress Play white label site, and indeed many of our favourite online sports betting sites have been created via Progress Play’s excellent sports betting software.
