BetTarget Review: Top features, Markets & Odds

ASG Technologies already has some sports betting options, but they seem to have shifted up a gear as far as BetTarget are concerned. The sports betting software at BetTarget is provided by BtoBet, a company that is also owned by Aspire Global, the owners of ASG Technologies. BetTarget is the first UK-facing sportsbook to use BtoBet’s sports betting platform.

The sports betting markets available at BetTarget are wide and expansive. In terms of the number of markets available, you will not be too surprised to learn that football tops the list, followed by American football, basketball and ice hockey. As you can see from this information, BetTarget is the perfect site for you if you’re based in the UK but enjoy betting on sports popular in North America.

There is very good coverage of all other markets too, including boxing, Formula 1, tennis, and both rugby codes. The site allows you to bet on eSports too – League of Legends, CS:GO, Rocket League and many others.

BetTarget Odds

There is no guarantee that the odds you will find at BetTarget are the best available, but they are very competitive and you will get very fair returns for any bet you place. We check the prices against other leading sports books of identical events and found them to be equivalent, and in many cases identical at the least.

The default format for odds at BetTarget is decimal. You do though have the option to switch the odds dispay to fractional or, if you’re a bit weird, American.

BetTarget Limits

BetTarget does have a deposit limit, and that deposit limit is £10. There is a minimum bet amount too, which is £0.10. This is the minimum amount of any wager you can place at the site.

There is a maximum amount as well, but that depends upon the bet you are trying to place. If you attempt to place a bet above the maximum amount, you will be given a few options, one of which is to apply to a trader. If you do this, a trader will get back to you to tell you whether BetTarget are willing or unwilling to take your bet.

In-Play Betting

If you enjoy betting on live events, then the in-play markets available at BetTarget will certainly appeal to you. Indeed, the main landing page at BetTarget puts the main and most appealing live events front and centre, so as soon as you find yourself at the site you can see the in-play betting options that are available to you. All major sports and most minor ones are covered, so if you want to bet on a game that is happening now, you most certainly will be able to do so.

Live Streaming

One aspect of any sports betting site that stands it above others is the availablity of sports live streaming. It’s an unfortunate thing then that there are no live streaming options available at BetTarget, not even horse racing. You can see graphical representations of some sporting matches (including football and tennis), but of course it is not the same as watching live action.

Other Features

The BtoBet software as used by BetTarget is new and is a tad below the standards of other, bespoke sports books. This means that features you may have become accustomed to at other sites are missing, such as bet builders. You can build doubles, trebles and system bets, but combining specific outcomes in the same event is little more bothersome.

One nice feature the site does have is the facility to add bets and potential bets to your favourites list. You can then closely monitor your bets and any bets you are thinking of making in one place without having to search around for them every time that you visit the site.

Customer Service

BetTarget says that it believes in “C.A.R.E.” – which stands for ‘Customers Are Really Everything’. In order to facilitate this belief, BetTarget has supplied two customer care options – live chat (available 8am to midnight (CET) every day of the week) and email. To see how much they cared we tried the live chat function to see how long it would take them to respond.

First up, we were given the chance of looking through the FAQs which we think is fair enough. When we got to live chat the promise was a reply in under seven minutes, which again is fair enough. It actually took 13 minutes for us to be noticed, but when we did type something into the chat applet (as opposed to waiting for a customer service assistant to respond) someone attended to us within a minute, so maybe we should have done that in the first place.

  • Promotions – It’s a very nice welcome to the site, that £10 bonus. You only need to wager £20 on events with odds in excess of Evens to get it, and if you’ve come to a sports betting site you are more than likely going to do that anyway. The boost for accas is good too, and the casino bonus as well. We’d like to see a few more BetTarget promotions, but that trio is more than okay for starters.
  • Markets Coverage – The BtoBet software that BetTarget uses may be relatively new, but it is obviously a sports betting platform that a lot of work and thought has gone into. The number of markets available is exceptional, and we really like the coverage of US sports because … we like US sports! No matter your sporting passion, you’ll find it covered at BetTarget.
  • Live Bets & Cash Out – BtoBet seems to be a prime live betting platform This form of betting has becoming increasingly popular, and seems to be completely embraced at BetTarget. Cash out is available on the vast majority of live bets too, which only adds to BetTarget’s appeal.
  • Banking Options – Okay, so you can only use Visa/MasterCard for your initial deposit if you want to claim your bonus, but beyond that BetTarget offers a decent array of banking choices. All the major eWallets are covered, as well as bank transfers and lesser known options like ecoPayz and MuchBetter. No issues moving money here!

  • Live Streaming – It would be nice if BetTarget had some live streaming options, but is hasn’t any. While that is a disappointment, it’s only a mild incovenience as it’s not going to stop you from betting on a top EPL match that you are watching on Sky!
  • Apps – No apps available here. This – again – is only a mild incovenience as not everyone wants an app for every sports book on their phone, and you can access the site via a browser anyhow. It would just be nice if the option to download apps was available.
  • Support – We found the live chat support a little bit hit and miss, in all honesty. The first time we tried it, it took too long to receive a response. The second time, we received a response within two minutes. Consistency is key!

Final thoughts on BetTarget

We are always keen to welcome new sports books to the UK sports betting arena, and we feel that this new ASG Technologies venture will be around for the long run. For a start, the sports betting platform itself is brand new, and it is one of the most responsive betting platforms we’ve yet encountered. It certainly has enough markets, and those live betting options look especially tasty.

As for the downsides … no streaming, no dedicated apps to download and support seems a bit iffy.
