Fans hoping to be in attendance for the Euro final this summer will be forced to pay up to €2000 for the privilege.
It is no secret that witnessing elite football in the flesh is reserved for those lucky enough to have access, or fortunate enough to afford such an expenditure.
Particularly at major club and international tournaments, the growing demand has not only made it more difficult to obtain tickets, but it has also supported ever-increasing prices.
Using data from previous tournaments, Safe Betting Sites have analysed and compared the impact on match-going fans at this summer’s Euros.
Key Data Points
- Category 1 Euro final tickets have jumped 233% in price since 2012
- New ‘prime seating’ will cost €2000 per seat
- However, lowest tier seats remains more or less the same as it did 12 years ago

It is interesting to note that across all categories, ticket prices have risen exponentially over the last 12 years. However, those with the disposable income to secure the best seats in the house can expect to pay even more.
This of course is in line with general inflation, but it is also reflective of the push from event organisers to target those at the very top of the pricing bracket.
Much like elite-level clubs who are investing heavily in hospitality, this year’s Euro ticket prices have seen the biggest increases in Category 1 tickets.
For reference, Euro 2020 opening match seats in this top band cost €207, compared to €600 this summer.
Add to that the introduction of ‘prime seating’ centrally located in Category 1 blocks, and you have some non-hospitality tickets being sold for up to €2,000 at face value.
However, Category 2 and 3 prices from 2020’s tournament have seen a fairly negligible jump of just €30 in 2024.
