Italy most represented country with six national coaches at Euro 2024

The eyes of all football fans are on the upcoming Uefa Euro 2024, which kicks off on 14th June in Germany. The tournament will feature coaches of 17 different nationalities, but Italian coaches are notably a hit with national football sides. According to the numbers presented by SafeBettingSites.com, the upcoming Cup will feature five national coaches from Italy. No other nation accounts for more than two coaches.  

Sylvinho only non-European coach at Euro Cup

Historically, it has been rare to see a non-European name coach one of the popular football powerhouses in Europe. That trend is set to continue in the upcoming European Championship 2024.

A look at the nationalities of the coaches will tell you that all but one coach at European Championship will be from Europe. The only exception is Brazilian coach Sylvinho, who is currently in charge of the Albania national team. However, it must also be noted that Sylvinho was granted Albanian citizenship in December 2023. 

Italy will be responsible for most national coaches at Euro 2o24. Six national sides will be under the stewardship of Italian coaches. 

Most importantly, defending champions Italy will enter the competition under the tutelage Of Luciano Spalletti. Furthermore, the likes of Francesco Calzona (Slovakia), Vincenzo Montella (Turkey), Domenico Tedesco (Belgium), andMarco Rossi (Hungary) will also be representing Italy.

Following Italy, two coaches from Spain, Germany, and France each will be at the helm of national sides in the month-long tournament.

Julian Nagelsmann (Germany) and Ralf Ragnick (Austria) will represent Germany’s coaching talent. Luis de la Fuente (Spain) and Roberto Martinez (Portugal) will be the two Spanish coaches at the tournament. Didier Deschamps (France) and Willy Sagnol (Georgia) will both represent France.

There will be one coach each from Brazil, England, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Scotland, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland, and Ukraine.

As stated earlier, Brazilian Sylvinho will be in charge of the Albania national team. All of the remaining national sides will be under the charge of coaches of the same nationalities, respectively.
