While Manchester City continues dominating the football world with the highest club market value, having two out of five top-valued players, the leading Premier League team has been kicked off the first place in the Soccer Power Index ranking.
According to data presented by Safe Betting Sites, Bayern Munich ranked as the best football team in the world, with a Soccer Power Index of 92.6 in January.
The Only European Football Club with a Decade Long Champion Title
Last year, Germany`s most successful football club won its tenth consecutive Bundesliga title, which no team in one of Europe’s top five leagues had ever done before. The players of the world`s third most-valuable football club, behind Manchester City and Chelsea FC, also made the largest block in the German national squad in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, with seven out of 26 players in total.
The Soccer Power Index ranks football teams based on goals scored, adjusted goals, shot-based expected goals, and non-shot expected goals. These criteria result in offensive and defensive ratings for each team, which are then converted to an overall score on the Soccer Power Index.
According to the index, Bayern Munich currently dominates the football world. With a Soccer Power Index of 92.6, the Bundesliga club ranked above Manchester City and way up from the top Spanish clubs FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, or Premier League`s Arsenal.
Manchester City, as the runner-up, hit an index of 91.4. Barcelona ranked as the third most successful football team globally, with a Soccer Power Index of 87.7. Arsenal and PSG follow, with 86.1 and 85.8, respectively.
Statistics show that Real Madrid slipped to the seventh spot as of January, with a Soccer Power Index of 84.4, while Manchester United dropped out of the top ten list and ranked eleventh with 81.2 points.
Bayern Munich Valued More than Liverpool FC, Paris Saint-Germain, or Real Madrid
Besides leading the chart of the best football teams globally, Bayern Munich has also climbed the chart of most-valuable football clubs globally. According to Transfer Market data, the German club is now the third most-valuable club in the football world, with a market value of €928 million.
That makes Bayern Munich €28 million worth less than the second-ranked Chelsea FC and €170 million less than an absolute leader in this category, Manchester United.
However, statistics show the most-successful German football team is worth €11 million more than Liverpool FC, €25 million more than France`s Paris Saint-Germain, and €90 million more than La Liga Champion Real Madrid.
