Betiton is one of the newest bookmakers around, having been launched in March 2020. However, with a well-respected veteran of the gaming industry at the helm and former Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse signed up as Brand Ambassador the young upstarts look like they mean business. In this Betiton Sport review we will take you through all the elements of the Betiton offering so you can make an informed decision about whether they are worth your time and money, including everything from signing up to placing a bet, new and existing customer offers, range of markets and much more!
Security is a big consideration for our Betiton Sport review, and you can bet with confidence as they are licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission, and in terms of security measures, all personal details are fully encrypted with multiple servers used to ensure the protection of sensitive information.
Whilst data is in transit, Betiton also utilizes the latest 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology to ensure that sensitive data is transferred securely over the internet to their secure server, which is protected by the latest firewall.
The responsible gambling section of the Betiton site is one of the most comprehensive we have ever seen, including information about how to recognise problematic gambling, how to manage your betting, protection of minors, as well as a number of links to all the major professional organisations that can provide help and advice if you think your gambling is becoming an issue.
Bettors can also impose daily, weekly and monthly deposit limits, as well as session time limits, time outs and self exclusions. There’s also a reality check option, where a message will appear after a preset period of time informing you of the amount of time you have been playing for and the amount you have won and bet during this time. You will then have the option to continue playing or to stop.
We should say at this point of our Betiton review that we really can’t fault Betiton in this area and we hope that this blueprint is followed by all new sportsbooks in the future.
A key part of any sportsbook review is their new customer deal and our Betiton review is no different. The Betiton offering is a super-simple “Bet £15, Get £15”. Simply sign up, deposit at least £10, place a bet of at least £15 and once your first wager has been placed and settled you will receive a bonus bet of up to £15.
As ever there are some key terms and conditions to look out for, with the primary one being that customers who deposit using PayPal, Neteller, Paysafe, or Skrill will not be eligible, so we’d recommend a debit card deposit. Your first bet must be placed within 14 days and it needs to be at odds 0f even money or better, which is represented as 1/1 if the site is set to fractional odds and 2.0 if it’s decimal.
Your bonus will be credited as a single free bet token which must be used all at once and while there are no wagering requirements, you just need to make sure you use the free bet within 14 days. And we would highly recommend checking out the T’s & C’s relating to this offer before you sign up.
There’s also a generous Betiton casino bonus for new customers, which we have outlined below alongside the sportsbook welcome deal.
|Betiton offer||Offer description||Wager requirement||Min qualify odds||Offer expiry||Min deposit|
|Free Bet||Bet £15 Get £15||None||EVS||14 days||£1o|
|Betiton Casino||100% bonus up £150 + 150 Free Spins||35x||N/A||21 days||£10|
Disappointingly, when it comes to existing customer deals it’s pretty slim pickings on Betiton, with just an acca boost offer on the sports betting promotions page which we’ve broken down below as part of our Betiton review. And we also raised an eyebrow when we saw that their cash out feature was being advertised as a promotion when it is just a regular feature of pretty much every other sportsbook!
Nothing less than a deep dive is required for us to be sure that we are giving you the best Betiton review possible, so let’s get started!
At the time of writing this Betiton review, we found 30 different sports available at Betiton, as well as virtual football. There are also a huge range of E-Sports markets including all the big names of the gaming world such as League of Legends, Counter Strike, Rainbow Six and DOTA 2. Fans of novelty bets are also taken care of with I’m a Celebrity, Strictly and Dancing On Ice all present and correct, while there are also a number of worldwide political markets if you like a current affairs wager.
Finding your chosen sport is easy as there’s a carousel near the top of the home page featuring upcoming matches and tournaments, but if you can’t find what you are looking for then you can just scroll down the page to find every sport on offer. The search feature at the top is also a nice option that will save you a few clicks if you know the team or individual you are looking for.
The range of markets within each sport compares very favourably to other sportsbooks, with over 100 markets being the norm for your average Premier League football match. However, it’s clear that Betiton has also recognised that football is not the only game in town, so the other popular betting sports such as golf, cricket, darts and rugby all feature a wide range of markets.
And if you’re a fan of American Football then over 240 markets for an average NFL game will also be a welcome sight.
Odds at Betiton can be viewed in fractional or decimal formats, depending on your preference. As we’ve outlined elsewhere in this article Betiton seems to be catering for inexperienced bettors, and those types of punters don’t tend to worry too much about odds, so it’s no surprise to see that Betiton’s prices are nothing to write home about.
After comparing odds with their major rivals on a number of different sports we very rarely found them to be “best in class”. Their football odds compared the most favourably to other sites, but when it comes to horse racing it’s a shame to report that there are no “best odds guaranteed” offers, which are a staple of most other sportsbooks.
You can place a wager at Betiton for as little as £0.05, while the maximum bet will vary depending on the odds you are getting as your maximum win can never be more than £90,000. We’re sure that won’t put off anyone except the top 1% of punters though!
Betting on sporting events that are already underway is hugely popular and it’s no surprise that Betiton have recognised this and made sure their live betting offering is a varied one. The “In Play” button is easily visible near the top of the home page and once you’re there you will always find a good variety of sports and markets to bet on.
As far as the range of sports is concerned, as part of this Betiton review we looked in the morning, afternoon, evening and late at night on weekdays and weekends and we never found less than eight sports on offer, rising to as many as 15 at times. Another key element of in play betting is the range of markets, and the selection we found across a variety of sports compared favourably to other in play offerings.
Where they fall down in this Betiton review though is the information available during a football game, which is often really important to bettors when making a live wagering decision. On many of the sites that offer in play football betting, there are a host of live stats including shots on target, bookings, possession, key events and often a live animated play by play.
However, when searching for a similar service on Betiton we were often faced with a blank football pitch with no stats at all, and even when we did find them they were very basic.
At the time of writing this Betiton review, live streaming is not an option at Betiton UK, and there is no animated “play by play’ either.
We were pleased to learn as part of this Betiton review that cash out is available on the majority of markets, which is a popular feature for punters who may want to settle their wagers before an event has finished. You just need to click on “My Bets” on your bet slip and then click cash out for a full withdrawal, or simply adjust the small slider on the right if you want to make a partial cash out and leave some skin in the game.
Betting can be a very intricate process so checking out their customer service was a key factor that went into this Betiton review. The Betiton support team is available via live chat 7 days a week from 08:00 CET to 00:00 CET, or you can email them. When we asked a question on live chat the response time was less than two minutes and speaking to a real person initially rather than a chatbot was also a plus.
Another feature of Betiton’s customer service which we haven’t seen on many other sportsbooks is the comprehensive guide to betting found at the bottom of the home page. Newcomers to the site can find a host of information about every key aspect of betting.
And while some of the questions they answer, such as “Do you get your bet back if you win?” or “What are odds?” may seem strange to experienced bettors, for someone new to the game they are important and it seems that Betiton seems to be making a real effort to cater to brand new bettors.
Those wishing to sign up at Betiton will be pleased to know that the process is very simple, with very few pages to navigate. And a new account can be registered in just a couple of minutes. The following step by step guide explains just how punters can sign up at the Betiton sportsbook:
With no mobile app available the only way to sign up to Betiton is by visiting their home page on your computer or mobile device.
Click the “JOIN” button, located in the top-left hand corner of the page, to open the first of the Betiton registration forms where you will be required to enter your email address and pick a username and password. Next up you need to input your full name, date of birth, your address and the currency you wish to bet in. And that is that after just two clicks.
The next window will include a link to deposit your opening funds and we also like the fact that you will be instantly prompted to set a deposit limit and a reality check before you part with any money.
When we signed up we weren’t asked to provide any additional verification such as a driving license or passport, which wasn’t a surprise as not all sportsbooks request it, and it’s not necessarily a bad thing as it reduced the amount of time from signing up to placing our first bet. However, some bettors might worry about the fact that the site lacks that extra level of security.
Once you’ve logged in there is a deposit button on the left-hand side of the page where you can enter the cashier section of the site. Select the “Deposit” option, before entering the amount you wish to add and then you can add your bank card details or login to your chosen e-wallet account.
However, we were disappointed to find out that Betiton charges a 2.5% transaction fee on all deposits, so for example if you deposited £20 you would be charged an extra 50p. Given that the vast majority of their competitors do not charge anything to deposit funds it’s a real surprise to find a new sportsbook that is penalising punters in this way, and this is a major minus point in our book.
Now it’s time to place your first bet you need to keep the new customer bonus in mind and make sure you are wagering at least £15 at odds of EVs or better to take full advantage. Once you’ve browsed all the available sports and markets and found an outcome you wish to bet on, simply click on the price and it will automatically be added to a betslip that will appear without prompting to the right of the screen.
If you just want to place a single bet then simply enter your stake and you will be able to see your potential winnings. Then you just need to click “PLACE BETS” and your wager will be official. If you want to place a multiple bet then just click on all the bets you wish to add and then you can browse all the different types of wager before selecting the one you want and adding a stake.
And don’t forget about Betiton’s Boostiton bonus, which pays you extra if all the legs of your acca are successful, as long as there’s a minimum of four and a maximum of 15 selections.
If you want to withdraw any winnings the first thing you need to know about the Betiton site is that they refer to it as a “Cashout”, which is unusual as the vast majority of sportsbooks use that term for settling bets in play. You need to click on “My Account” on the left-hand side of the home page and then “Account Details”, which will bring up a window where you can withdraw your winnings.
From there you can just click on “Select cashout method” to pick which payment method you wish to credit your withdrawal to and then add the amount and click “Request Cashout”. The minimum withdrawal is £10 and you can withdraw to Visa debit cards, Paypal or Skrill. And while we weren’t asked to submit any additional ID in order to withdraw funds, a quick look at the T’s & C’s told us that some people may be subject to these extra checks.
There is no Betiton app and when we asked customer support whether there were any plans to create one, they were unable to tell us. However, we are pleased to report in our Betiton review that looking at their sportsbook on your mobile device is an enjoyable experience with simple navigation and an uncluttered style that we would expect if there was a Betiton app.
If you want to qualify for the “Bet £15, Get £15” welcome offer at Betiton Sport there is currently no need to enter a Betiton promo code. However, many sportsbook offers do require promo codes and the following are a selection of offers that can be found currently at some of the leading UK betting sites.
Betting Promo Code & Free Bet Codes
Now it’s time for the financial element of our Betiton review, focussing on payment methods, minimum deposit and withdrawals and Betiton withdrawal times.
And we have to say the range of deposit methods at Betiton is one of the largest we have ever seen, with the most common methods of Visa & Mastercard debit cards, Paypal and Skrill joined by a host of other e-wallets. However there’s no Apple Pay and as we mentioned earlier, all deposits are subject to a 2.5% transaction fee.
Betiton withdrawal times are an eye-opener too, particularly the 6-8 days they say it will take to return funds to your debit card, which is one of the most popular methods of payment.
The table below provides a clear breakdown of the major payment methods currently available at Betiton Sport, but you can also check out a full list here.
|Banking Method||Fees||Min Deposit||Min Withdraw||Withdraw times|
|Debit Card||2.5%||£10||£10||6-8 days|
|Bank Transfer||2.5%||£10||£10||6-8 days|
Our in-depth look at the Betiton UK has enabled us to create a comprehensive list of what we like and what we don’t like about the sportsbook, so you can make as informed a decision as possible if you’re thinking of opening an account.
When judging a new sportsbook it’s impossible not to compare them to their peers, and while Betiton UK does a lot of things right, they are nowhere near the level that would justify a 2.5% transaction fee, especially when better sites do not charge punters to deposit money.
Their welcome offer is good but there is very little to keep punters coming back for more when it comes to existing customer deals, and while the range of sports and markets is strong, you can find a similar selection at sites that offer far more punter perks than Betiton.
So our overall recommendation is that there are far stronger sportsbooks out there that will give you a much more immersive and worthwhile betting experience, and you can discount Betiton from your thinking safe in the knowledge that you aren’t missing out!
