The Ligue 1 players are passing the ball more frequently and more successfully than any other league in 2022-23. According to the numbers presented by SafeBettingSites, Ligue 1 clubs have made the most passes on average this season – 499.6 per game. The top tier of French football also boasts of the most successful passing rate at 80.5%

As stated previously, Ligue 1 clubs are averaging the most attempted passes among the top five European leagues in 2022/23. On average, clubs in the top tier of French football have attempted 499.6 passes per game. Ligue 1 clubs are not only passing the ball more but also doing it efficiently. Ligue 1 clubs also average the most successful passes per game at 402.4 

Premier League is just behind, with clubs in the richest league averaging 498.2 passes per game. Regarding successful passes, Premier League clubs remain second with 394.2 successful passes per game.

Bundesliga occupies the third spot with an average of 483.3 attempted passes per game. However, the German league is dead last when it comes to successful passes, with 368.8 completed passes per game. 

Serie A clubs have attempted 479.6 passes and completed 377.9 passes per game during the ongoing season.

La Liga is last among the top five leagues in terms of passes attempted, averaging 476.9 per game. However, when it comes to successful passes, La Liga clubs are ahead of Bundesliga and only slightly behind Serie A with 377.1 completed passes per game.

Ligue 1 registers 80.5% passing rate

As stated previously, Ligue 1 clubs have been the most efficient passers among the top European League in 2022-23. Ligue 1 clubs are passing at the rate of 80.5% in 2022-23.

La Liga featured last when we looked at the average number of passes attempted by top leagues. However, the La Liga clubs are more efficient passers than Premier League, Serie A and Bundesliga, with a passing rate of 79.2% 

Premier League players have been the third-most efficient passers in 2022-23 – just behind La Liga with a rate of 79.1%. Serie A is next with a passing success rate of 78.8%, and Bundesliga is last with a rate of 76.3%.

PSG leads the club list with a 89% success rate

Paris Saint-Germain have been the most efficient passers when we look at individual clubs in the top five leagues. The French champions have passed the ball with a success rate of 89% in the ongoing season.

The second spot is occupied by La Liga giants Real Madrid, who are averaging a success rate of 88% in their league. Premier League champions complete the top three with a rate of 86.8%.

The next two spots are occupied by Barcelona and Napoli, who look like solid favourites to win their respective leagues in 2022-23. 

German champions Bayern Munich are next on the list, followed by three clubs from Ligue 1. It’s no surprise to see Ligue 1 top the passing charts considering four clubs from the league are among the ten most efficient passing sides in 2022-23.

The last spot is occupied by a rather surprise name in Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion, who are passing at the rate of 83.4% in 2022-23.
