In the world of mobile games, Playrix’s gaming hits Homescapes and Gardenscapes rank high, with the two titles reaching over $2bn in lifetime revenue and counting hundreds of millions of fans worldwide. However, some other gaming titles of the Dublin-based video game developer have also passed a one-billion-dollar milestone.
According to data presented by Safe Betting Sites, Playrix’s five top-grossing mobile games hit over $8.2bn in lifetime revenue.
Gardenscapes Still the Highest-Grossing Playrix` Title with $2.8B in Lifetime Revenue
Just a few months after its release in August 2016, the free-to-play gaming app, Gardenscapes, became a global hit, with millions of players worldwide each month.
The game’s success has led to a spin-off called Homescapes, released a year later. Both titles are match-three puzzle games and feature the same protagonist, Austin the Butler. In-app purchases allow players to buy fictional currency to gain the ability to retry levels or get power-ups.
Statista and AppMagic data show that the two Playrix mobile games lead in total revenue. In November, Gardenscapes` lifetime IAP revenue jumped over $2.8bn, far above any other mobile game developed by the gaming company. Nearly half of that value, or $1.3bn, was generated in the last two years.
Homescapes made around $300 million less than that, with its lifetime revenue reaching $2.55bn last month. Fishdom and Township players spent $1.4bn and $1.3bn, respectively, ranking third and fourth on the list. Manor Matters and Wildscapes follow, with $115.2 million and $36.9 million in lifetime revenue, respectively.
Gardenscapes and Homescapes hit Over One Billion in Lifetime Downloads
Although both Gardenscapes and Homescapes hit an impressive number of downloads since their release, Gardenscapes still tops Playrix’s list of the most popular games. Statista and AppMagic data show that since its launch six years ago, Gardenscapes was downloaded around 540 million times, or 25 million more than the second-ranked Homescapes.
Township ranked as the third most popular title, with over 406 million in lifetime downloads. Fishdom and Manor Matters close the top five list, with 390 million and 44 million downloads, respectively.
