Although Kylian Mbappé, Erling Haaland, and Harry Kane convincingly top the list of the highest valued football players globally, some other footballers also significantly increased their market value this year.

According to data presented by Safe Betting Sites, the combined market value of Pedri, Marcos Llorente and Erling Haaland, as the football players with the biggest market value increase, jumped by €105 million in the last six months and hit €280 million.

Pedri’s Market Value More than Doubled, the Biggest Increase Among All Football Players

The last year and a half were life-changing for Spanish midfielder Pedri. In August 2019, he made his first-team debut with second-division side Las Palmas at the age of only 16, which was just the start of his meteoric rise.

In March 2021, Pedri represented his country for the first time at the senior level, and only three months later, he became the youngest player to represent Spain in European Championship.

In September 2019, the market value of the talented attacking midfielder stood at €5 million, revealed by the TransferMarkt data. In April 2020, his valuation slightly increased to €7.2 million. However, by the end of the last year, this figure jumped to €30 million and continued rising. In May, Pedri’s market valuation stood at €70 million, €40 million more than just six months ago, which is the most significant increase among all players in the 2020/2021 season.

Llorente’s Value Jumped by €35M in 2021, Erling Haaland Follows With a €30M Increase

Atletico Madrid’s central midfielder, Marcos Llorente, has witnessed the second-largest market value increase this year. The 26-year-old has been a key man in Atletico’s surge to the top of La Liga, scoring 12 goals this season and playing in every La Liga and Champions League match. The positive COVID-19 test forced him off the Spanish Euro 2020 squad.

In November 2020, Llorente’s market value stood at €45 million. Statistics show this figure jumped by 77% and hit €80 million last month.

The TransferMarkt data show the 21-year-old Norwegian football player, Erling Haaland, witnessed the third-largest market value increase this year. Six months ago, Borussia Dortmund’s center-forward was worth €100 million. Since then, his market value jumped to €130 million, ranking him the second most valuable football player globally.
